In order to become a psychiatrist, you have to go to medical school. Psychology is different from psychiatry, as you don't do the same diagnostics. If you can get into med school right now, then you'll be directed towards psychiatry within the years. If not, I recommend you take science courses, such as biology, biochemistry, etc, that will help you get into med school, and not waste time on psychology that won't help you at all. Example: If after 2 years of biochemistry your grades are good enough, you can reapply to med school and try to get in.

The only way to become a psychiatrist is through medical school (it's a specialization), and concentrating in biology and biochemistry will help you get in. Don't spend your time on psychology.

Just get a bachelors first in psycology and then when you work on your masters you will put everything that you learned (from your bachelors degree) into practice. Psycology should cover psychiatric areas as well.

Psychology should be your undergrad. Then you would have to get into medical school and do your specialization in Psychiatry. Make sure you can spell "psychology" though.
