How to contact college coaches to express interest.

I am in my first year of college but am considering using this year off to work on my game and transfer next year to a smaller school to play basketball. How to contact college coaches to express interest? What is the most effective way to word my email and what information should be included?

I had offers from tiny schools coming out of high school but didnt accept because I took the academic route. But now I want both.

How to choose a college when you have a learning disability?

Monday, September 26th, 2011
sb0983 asked:

How does someone go about choosing a college when you have a learning disability? Is it better to go to a community college or to a four year college or university? My friend who has a learning disability has been looking into both community college and four year college. He thinks that a four year college offers students alot more help than a community college?

How many recommendations for college should one high school teacher write?

Tuesday, September 20th, 2011
vacuum asked:

I don’t know how clear I am going to make this, but I’m just wondering how many recommendations a teacher should write. I’m planning on applying to quite a few colleges, so should I ask one teacher to write the same recommendation for each college? Or should I ask a different teacher for each college I apply to? I can’t exactly ask a teacher to write one and make copies of it, since most colleges give you a recommendation form with the application that the teacher should fill out. Thanks for your answers!

What is the difference between college grades and college credit?

Friday, September 16th, 2011
Nisa M. A. asked:

I’m currently attending a community college to complete my general education. I’m aiming to go for engineering in a 4 year college, perhaps even a polytechnic university.

Anyways, what do 4 year colleges or universities look for on a transcript, grades or credit? Or are they essentially the same?

This fall 2010 was my first ever semester in college. I got 4 A’s (Chemistry, Trigonometry, English, French 1) and 16 credit total (more than 12 credit is considered full-time in this particular college).

What matters the most?

What college in Colorado has the best science programs and classes?

Thursday, September 15th, 2011
Erika Hanson asked:

After I get out of the navy or air force, depending on where I end up, I will be going straight to college to be a forensic scientist. Like Abby in the TV show NCIS who processes all of the criminal evidence in the lab. I prefer to spend some time with my family while I’m in college, so I won’t listen to suggestions about colleges out-of-state. Thank you in advance for your advice!

COLLEGe?

Friday, September 9th, 2011
Boomer asked:

Alright I need some serious help with the whole college thing I’m completly lost. I’m 17, and a juinor in highschool. The thing is though I’m HOMESCHOOLED (if I was in public I’d probably be a sophmore)! I dont have credits and a GPA. My parents would not let me go to a public school my whole life so its been like this since grade 1. I could go now though. How am I supposed to get into college under these circumstances? I’ve always wanted to go to college, its been the one thing I’ve always looked foreward to but I didnt realize there were certain things you had to have and do to get into one… how does college work anyway? If you guys could put it into perspective it would be alot of help no ones ever layed out the guidelines for me and like I said… I’m lost. also I want to either be a pediatrician or something along the lines of a physicist for NASA. So if you guys could lay out the guidelines and rules and all that for those specific career paths then that would be even more help

Are college football players required to take and do well in classes? How long has this been a requirement?

Tuesday, September 6th, 2011
Pinata asked:

I need to know if college football players are required to take and do well in college classes (I believe they are, in current times), but even more specifically, I need to know how long this has been a requirement by law or colleges for football players at their schools to do so.
