What is the best online college for video game design?

February 09, 2008 By: admin Category: College Life 3 Comments →

Gurutree asked:

I am considering either The Art Institute Online or Westwood College Online. I really want to be able to get into the industry so that I can one day get a team together to make my own massive multiplayer RPG. I have some really great ideas that haven’t been thought of, and I just want to get my foot in the door. I figure getting a degree will get me a portfolio that I can take to a company and get hired on a game design team for whatever. Maybe that will get my foot in the door?

Has anyone here taken gotten a good job through one of these online game design courses? I really need online courses so that I can work while I go to school.

Anyone ever got a Master’s Degree online? What are the best online schools?

February 06, 2008 By: admin Category: College Life 5 Comments →

vmarie84 asked:

I’m not good with long standardized tests. Will I have to submit GED scores? I also only have a 2.5 GPA from my B.A. degree. Will that prevent me from getting enrolled. I screwed up on some science course that brought my GPA down, but I’m not dumb. I want to learn and get a good career. Also, are online colleges cheaper to take? And how long is a Master’s Program? Thank you for answering. Online courses just make me a little skeptical with the way people rip you off these days.

bmarcoux asked:

I’m looking for an online college for my son. I have come across many. Has anyone tried to get a degree online? Does anyone know anything about Westwood College? How about others? Is this a worthwhile effort (getting a degree online) versus attending a college?

What is the cheapest, easiest, fastest, online masters degree possible?

February 04, 2008 By: admin Category: College Life 2 Comments →

blutoadmirer asked:

I have decided to go for my masters. I want it to be the cheapest, easiest, fastest, online degree possible?
I live in Florida. I have decided to pursue a Masters degree. I haven’t narrowed it down yet but it will most likely be one of these three; Special Ed, Ed leadership, or Psychology. My Bachelor’s is in Psych. I have a teaching cert for both Psych and Special Ed.(ESE). I am finishing my sixth year of teaching ESE at the high school level. I am currently studying to take the middle grades integrated curriculum exa, which will earn me certifications in math, science, english and social studies. I get emails most every day from universities trying to recruit me. Now that you know a little about me, I would appreciate a bit of advice. To be honest, I want this to be as quick and painless as possible. I also know there are schools out there that meet my requirements, I just haven’t searched for them yet. Please help. Thanks!

I want to teach History in a Community College, can I get a legitimate masters degree online?

February 03, 2008 By: admin Category: College Life 3 Comments →

Scullytheparrot asked:

I am almost finished with my Bachelors degree in History. I would like to continue on and get my masters in History. I am interested in American Public University’s (APU) History program. But can I get a legitimate masters degree from a fully online institution, that when Im finished I would be able to get a job teaching at a community college? APU is fully accredited but Im leary because the only information about them I can find is on their website. It seems like nobody has heard of them. Any help would be appreciated!
