it depends on the university. most of the ones that only offer online degrees may not be worth much but there are some very high quality online programs offered by accredited and reputed universities. one example is ucla extension. their online degrees are likely to be worth more than those offered by many brick and mortar offline programs. there are many other high quality online programs similar to the ucla program. just make sure that you pick your university carefully. the online versus offline differences are almost secondary to choosing a reputable university.
